Dry-Seeders©
No Water ? No Problem ! Do straw
mulching and seeding in one operation using our
Dry-Seeder method. A Dry-Seeder enables you to do
straw mulching and seeding without water!
The Dry-Seeder is a Reinco Power-Mulcher with their
optional Seed Distributor.

The Dry-Seeder method is especially helpful in forest restoration
seeding as well as along roadsides or in open fields. It
is not recommended to try to seed without straw, hay or
grass mulch in a Reinco Power Mulcher. The Dry-Seeder method
is recommended for non-lawn applications since the placement
of mulch and seed is not as accurate as hydroseeding, hand
seeding or drill seeding.
Reinco's Seed Distributor attachment requires a 20 hp engine.
Reinco's TM-JR Power Mulcher's standard engine is 18 hp.
To take advantage of the Seed Distributor option you would
need to order your TM-JR with a 20 hp engine.The Seed Distributor
for the TM-JR holds 1.3 bushels of seed and is an option
that is attached at the manufacturers plant at the time
you order a Power Mulcher.

The 2 bushel Seed Distributor option can be attached
to a
TM-35 Power Mulcher which has a 35hp engine.
The Seed Distributor option costs
$1,400 which
includes installation by the manufacturer. |

Operating Suggestions
An operator at full gate can empty the hopper in 6 minutes.
Where even seed distribution is critical, you can seed in
the first pass and mulch in the second pass which provides
best visual check on distribution. You can make only one
pass and spread straw and seed at the same time but the
straw can mask the drop of the seed and distribution may
be uneven ( the wind and weight of the seed can also affect
distribution). An operator can practice with kitty litter
to get use to the gate and throttle operation and a sense
of drift. The seed distributor extends over the back bumper
so backing requires enhanced driver awareness.
